Whether the money should go only to the poor

State the real issue plainly and ask for a judgment

Hint around it and hope the other person has to guess

Ask only in a way that pressures the other person to lose

Say whatever sounds safest, even if it stays unclear

Lord, revive your church where our words have become guarded and our motives mixed. Give us courage to ask what is right, humility to speak the truth, and freedom from fear of people. Make us a people of integrity before you and before others, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray by naming one question or decision that feels loaded, ask God to show you what is right, and then ask for the courage to say the honest thing plainly.

Pray Before You Ask

Pray for leaders, workers, and neighbors who deal with taxes and other public duties: that what is due would be handled fairly, greed would be resisted, and justice would not be twisted for advantage.

Father, thank you that you give wisdom for real-world questions and do not leave us guessing. Thank you for the freedom to ask what is right and the grace to answer honestly. Help us honor what is due with a clear conscience, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
