Assume the warning is mainly for someone else

Admire the warning without letting it affect your life

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and have not taken your word seriously. I turn from my sin and from my refusal to listen. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to save me and make me ready for the day to come. Lead my life from this day forward. Amen.

Ready Me for Your Coming

Lord, revive your Church where we have grown casual about your warnings. Give us ears that hear, hearts that tremble at your word, and lives that repent quickly. Make us a people who respond at once when you speak, and let our seriousness become holiness and hope, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your Church to Listen

Father, I confess that I often delay when you warn me. I treat serious things lightly and hope the consequences will pass me by. Forgive me, soften my heart, and help me obey quickly, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Forgive My Delay

Start by naming one warning from Scripture, conscience, or conviction that you have been ignoring. Ask God for honesty, ask for courage to change, and ask for one next step you can take today.

Pray Through One Warning

Thank God that Jesus does not leave us in the dark. Thank him for speaking honestly, for warning before judgment, and for giving us time to respond.

Thank You for Speaking Clearly

Pray for people around you who feel no urgency about God. Ask that they would hear Christ's warning, wake up to what is true, and turn to him while there is still time.

For People Living Unaware
