Come to Jesus Himself

Lord, revive your Church so we do not merely admire religious things or outward strength. Wake us up from distraction, draw us back to Jesus himself, and make us a people who value your presence above every structure and display, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Turn Our Attention to Christ

Father, thank you for every place, person, and moment that has helped me notice you. Keep me grateful for what is beautiful without making it ultimate, and lead my heart toward Jesus, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Name one thing that has captured your attention this week. Ask Jesus to show whether it is helping you follow him, and ask for a clear next step that keeps him at the center.

Pray About What Catches Your Eye

Pray for people who are captivated by beauty, success, or religious display: that they would encounter Jesus personally, that their hearts would move from admiration to devotion, and that they would find what truly matters in him, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For Those Drawn to Appearances

Lord, teach me to come near to Jesus with my questions and observations instead of keeping them at a distance. When I am impressed by outward things, re-order my heart, help me listen well, and train me to seek what you are saying, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
