Focus on predicting dates and proving your theory

Keep the question away from prayer altogether

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and I need your mercy. I turn from my sin and from trying to save myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I believe you are Lord, and I give you my life. Meet me in my questions, guide me in your truth, and make me yours. Amen.

Come to Jesus with My Questions

Lord, revive your Church so we come to you with humble hearts instead of proud guesses. Make us a people who seek your presence, ask honest questions, and wait for your answer with faith. Turn our curiosity into prayer and our prayer into obedience, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your Church to Seek You

Start by naming one question you really have. Bring it to Jesus privately, tell him where you feel uncertain, and ask for the next faithful step rather than a timetable.

Pray One Honest Question

Bring these to God: the urge to speculate, a desire to trust Jesus with the future, patience to wait for what he reveals, and courage to obey what is already clear.

For Humble Discernment

Father, thank you that your Son welcomed the disciples and let them ask. Thank you that I can come to you honestly and not be shut out because I do not know everything. Teach me to seek you with humility, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Welcoming Questions

Lord, keep me and your people awake, steady, and ready for your coming. Free us from anxious date-setting and empty curiosity, and make us faithful in the time you have given us. Help us live with hope, wisdom, and obedience, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
