Live in humble readiness and turn from sin

Wait for a clearer timetable before obeying seriously

Treat Christ’s return as too distant to shape today

Try to look spiritually impressive so you feel secure

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I have sinned and I need your mercy. I turn from my sin and from living as if I were in charge. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to save me and make me ready for your coming. Amen.

Receive the Coming King

Lord, awaken your Church to the truth that the Son of Man will come with power and great glory. Forgive our dullness, restore holy awe, and make us a people of repentance, hope, and faithful witness. Let our lives point the world to Jesus before every tribe sees him, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your Church for His Glory

Father, for anyone who hears this verse with fear or grief, draw near with mercy. Let the weight of Christ's coming lead not to despair but to honest seeking, humble repentance, and living hope, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Comfort for Fear and Grief

Pray by naming one area where you have delayed obedience. Ask God to help you turn from it, and ask for one concrete step that will help you live ready for Jesus' return.

Pray for Readiness

Pray for the peoples and tribes of the earth: that the coming of Christ would not harden them, that grief would become repentance, and that many would see Jesus as Savior before the day when all see him in glory.

For the Peoples of the Earth

Thank God that Jesus is not hidden, weak, or uncertain. Praise him for his power, his glory, and his certain rule over history, and worship him as the King who will be seen by all.

Praise the Reigning Son of Man
