Return to the Lord

Lord, revive your Church so we do not stop at regret. Give us honest repentance, courage to make things right, and integrity with money, trust, and speech. Turn our sorrow into obedience and our shame into faithful witness, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Us from Empty Regret

Father, I confess the ways I have betrayed trust, tried to hide guilt, or kept what should have been returned. Forgive me, and give me courage to tell the truth, repair what I can, and walk in a new way, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Bring My Wrong into the Light

Pray by naming the wrong plainly before God. Ask him whether you need to apologize, return, replace, or repair something. Then ask for courage to take the next honest step before shame hardens your heart.

How to Pray When Remorse Comes

Thank God that remorse does not have to end in despair; thank him for his patience with guilty people, for the chance to turn back, and for his help in repairing what sin has damaged.

Thank God for Mercy That Meets the Guilty

Pray for people burdened by betrayal, shame, or financial guilt; ask God to move them from hiding to truth, from regret to repentance, and from sorrow to restored hope.

For Those Crushed by Regret
