Treat his direction as the final word for life and choices

Keep him as a helpful advisor while making your own final calls

Obey only the parts that fit your preferences

Assume his rule matters only for private beliefs, not daily conduct

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and tried to rule my own life. I need your mercy and your saving power. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Lord and Savior. Since all authority belongs to you, I open my life to your rule. Thank you for receiving me. Amen.

Yield to the Lord of All

Father, revive your Church. Forgive us for living as if Jesus' authority were small or distant. Wake us up to bow gladly to his rule, to obey his voice, and to carry his authority with humility and courage. Make us faithful witnesses in every place you send us, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church Under Christ's Rule

Father, we praise you that Jesus has authority over heaven and earth. We worship the Son you have exalted, and we trust his reign over all that is seen and unseen. Teach us to honor him in every part of life, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Name one decision, habit, or relationship. Tell God where you are tempted to keep control, ask Jesus to rule that area, and choose one obedient step you can take today.

Pray Over One Decision

Pray for people who lead at home, at work, in church, and in public life: that they would submit to Jesus' higher authority, act justly, and use power with humility.

For Leaders and Those with Responsibility

Father, thank you that Jesus' authority is complete and not limited by place, power, or fear. Thank you that I can trust him with heaven and earth and with my everyday choices. Teach me to live under his good rule today, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
