Take charge of the crowd and lead on their own

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I come to you as someone who needs your mercy. I admit that I have sinned and cannot make myself right with God. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and receive you as my Lord and Savior. Draw me near to you, teach me to follow you, and make me yours. Amen.

Come Near to Jesus

Lord, revive your Church so we notice people as Jesus did and then turn our hearts toward him. Pull us out of distraction, humble our pride, and give us the desire to sit at your feet before we speak. Make us a people who gather around Christ with teachable hearts and steady joy, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Gather Your Church Around Jesus

Pray by naming one crowding distraction in your life, ask Jesus to turn your attention back to him, and ask for grace to sit quietly and learn from him today.

Pray to Draw Near

Thank God that Jesus notices the crowd, makes room for learners, and welcomes people to come close. Give thanks that his care reaches ordinary people who want to be near him.

Thank Him for Seeing and Welcoming

Pray for people who feel overlooked in a crowd: that Jesus would see them, meet them, and draw them near. Pray also for someone you know who is curious, weary, or ready to learn, that they would come close to Christ.

For the Crowded and Unseen

Lord, keep my heart from staying lost in the crowd. Teach me to come near to you, to sit down in humility, and to learn with patience. Make me willing to follow where you lead, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
