Wait until the message matches every preference

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I need your truth and your mercy. I admit that I have sinned and gone my own way, and I cannot make myself right with God. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and open my life to you. Be my Lord, forgive me, and teach me to follow you. Amen.

Receive the One Who Teaches

Lord, revive your Church with a fresh hunger for your words. Where we have become careless, make us attentive; where we have become proud, make us humble; where we have become silent, make us faithful teachers of your truth. Restore in us a love that listens and a life that obeys, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church in Teaching

Father, thank you that Jesus does not leave people without teaching. Thank you that he speaks plainly, patiently, and with authority. Help me treasure his words and receive them with a willing heart, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Speaking to Us

Pray by naming one area where you need to listen better. Ask God to quiet distractions, help you receive Jesus' teaching with clarity, and show you one simple response you can obey today.

Ask for a Teachable Heart

Pray over these concerns: a more attentive mind; a softer heart toward instruction; a willingness to respond quickly when Jesus teaches; a habit of listening before speaking.

Growing in Attention to Jesus

Pray for: Christian teachers who speak faithfully; students who listen with humility; churches where God's word is handled clearly; and your own readiness to receive and share what Jesus teaches.
