Keep going with him beyond the first mile

Go farther willingly, even when it costs extra effort

Agree only if you can make the person notice your sacrifice

Refuse because you were only obligated to do the first mile

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and gone my own way. I need your mercy and your new life. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and confess you as Lord. Teach me to follow you, even when it costs me more than I expected. Thank you for saving me. Amen.

Receive the Lord Who Calls Me Farther

Lord, revive your Church so we do not stop at what is required, but gladly serve with generous hearts. Where we have grown cautious, selfish, or tired, breathe new life into us. Make us quick to help, patient under pressure, and willing to go farther in love than we planned, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your Church Willing

Pray by naming one place where you are tempted to do only the minimum. Ask God for a willing spirit, then ask him to show you one concrete way to go farther in kindness, effort, or patience today.

Ask for a Willing Heart

Pray for: people who feel used, burdened, or pressed too far; those who need strength to keep serving without resentment; and those who need grace to receive help with humility.

For Those Under Pressure

Thank God for every time he has helped you move beyond the bare minimum. Thank him for the freedom to serve with joy, the patience to keep going, and the chance to reflect his generous heart to others.

Thanks for Grace That Goes Further

Father, when I want to stop at the first mile, give me a willing heart to keep going with grace. Free me from irritation, pride, and scorekeeping, and help me do good with a cheerful spirit. Show me one person I can serve more than expected today, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
