Lord, wake your Church where we have grown sleepy, self-reliant, or afraid. Teach us to come to you first, to pray honestly when trouble rises, and to trust you when we feel overwhelmed. Make your people quick to seek your help and faithful to carry others to you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your Church to Cry Out

Father, when fear makes me feel like I am perishing, help me turn to Jesus quickly. Give me courage to speak plainly, peace in my heart, and trust for the next step, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Name the fear, call Jesus Lord, and ask for the specific rescue you need today. Keep the prayer simple and honest, then wait quietly for him to help.

Pray the Way They Did

Bring these to God: quickness to turn to Jesus, honesty when fear rises, confidence that he hears desperate prayer, and humility to depend on him instead of yourself.

Growing in Urgent Faith

Pray for people who feel overwhelmed today: that they would turn to Jesus, speak honestly about their need, and receive the help and presence they need from him and from his people.
