18. Formal Translation Then the priest shall set the woman before the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Judge}, and he shall loosen the hair of the woman’s head, and place upon her hands the grain offering of remembrance and the grain offering of jealousy. And in the hand of the priest shall be the bitter water that brings a curse. |
18. Dynamic Translation The priest will have the woman stand before the LORD {Yahweh, One who examines hearts}. He will let her hair down, and put in her hands the reminder offering, the offering for jealousy. Meanwhile, the priest will be holding the bitter water that causes the curse. |
