| 12. Formal Translation And this will be the plague with which the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Judge} will strike all the peoples who have assembled against Jerusalem: their flesh will waste away as they stand on their feet, and their eyes will waste away in their sockets, and their tongues will waste away in their mouths. |
| 12. Dynamic Translation This is how the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Warrior} will punish all the nations that fight against Jerusalem: their bodies will rot away as they stand, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. |
