| 45. Formal Translation But the people said to Saul, “Must Jonathan die—he who has brought about this great deliverance in Israel? Never! As the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Enforcer} lives, not even one hair of his head will drop to the ground, for today he acted with God {Elohim, divine empowerment}.” So the people rescued Jonathan, and he did not die. |
