| 23. Formal Translation The sons of Ammon and Moab rose up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly destroy and annihilate them. And when they had finished with the inhabitants of Seir, they helped each man his companion toward destruction. |
| 23. Dynamic Translation The Ammonites and Moabites turned on the people of Mount Seir to wipe them out. After they finished slaughtering the Seirites, they began attacking one another. |
