| 37. Formal Translation But Paul said to them, “They beat us in public without condemnation, even though we are Romans, and they threw us into prison. And now they are casting us out in secret? Not at all. Let them come themselves and lead us out.” |
| 37. Dynamic Translation Paul said, “They beat us openly without a trial, even though we are Roman citizens, and they put us in jail. Now they want us gone in secret? No. Let them come in person and escort us out.” |
