Come Under His Lordship

Lord, revive your Church to hear your word as weighty and true. Where we have shrugged off your authority, humble us; where we have resisted correction, bring repentance; where we have grown proud, bow us before the Most High. Make us a people who receive your decrees with fear, faith, and obedience, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Reverence in Your Church

Thank you, Lord, that your rule is wiser than human power and that your purposes do not fail. Thank you that you speak clearly, that your authority is good, and that even kings are not beyond your hand. Let gratitude grow in us as we trust your ways.

Thanks for Wise Rule

Pray by naming one place where you need to stop arguing with God. Ask him to show you what he is saying, to soften your heart, and to help you take one obedient step today.

Pray for a Teachable Heart

Pray for leaders, decision-makers, and those with authority: that they would recognize the Most High above them, seek wisdom, and make choices shaped by humility and justice, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For Those in Authority

Father, I confess that I often resist your correction and want my own way. Forgive my pride and my selective listening. I turn back to you and ask for a willing heart that accepts your word as good, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
