A split arose among the Jewish people again

Listen carefully, hold your opinion with humility, and pursue peace

Avoid any hard teaching so no one disagrees

Decide which side is right and let the other group know it quickly

Stay silent even when the truth needs to be spoken

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit my sin and my need for you. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and confess you as Lord. When your words expose my heart, lead me into your peace and make me yours. Amen.

Receive Jesus' Peace

Lord, revive your Church where your words have exposed division. Give us humble hearts that listen before we react, repent before we argue, and follow you together with one voice. Make our speech gracious and our witness peaceful, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your People One Again

Father, heal relationships strained by words that cut and divide. Teach me to seek understanding before I defend myself, and help me to speak with grace and restraint, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Heal What Words Have Split

Pray by naming one conversation that feels divided, asking God for humility as you listen, and asking for one truthful, peace-making sentence to say next.

Pray Before You Answer

Bring these to God: gratitude that his words tell the truth; a willingness to receive correction without hardening; trust that peace can grow even after disagreement.

Thank God for Words That Reveal

Lord, bring peace into homes, churches, and friendships where speech has caused a split. Soften pride, mend trust, and help us pursue reconciliation with patience, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
