He will leave them for the disciples to handle

He will wait until people earn the answer

Prayer is meant to earn attention from other people.

Father, I bring this request through Jesus and ask that your honor be seen in him.

Father, I deserve this answer because I have been faithful.

Father, answer me so people will notice my devotion.

Father, I can secure this myself, but please fix it if I fail.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and have tried to live for myself. I cannot save myself and I need your mercy. Pray for people who are waiting on answers, that they would keep asking with faith, stay humble, and trust that Jesus acts for the Father's honor.

Father, purify my motives when I ask you for anything. Teach me to desire your glory above convenience, control, or praise. Make me steady in faith and glad to trust Jesus as the one who carries out what is good, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
