They come from the people who receive them

They now understand the source of what was given to Jesus

Everything given to Jesus comes from the Father

The verse speaks of everything given, not just a few items

Receive them gratefully and handle them as entrusted gifts

Treat them as proof that you have become more important than others

Keep them private and use them only for your own comfort

Assume they are permanent possessions you earned

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and need your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. Thank you that the Father has given you and that every good thing truly comes from him. I turn from my sin and confess you as my Lord and Savior. Amen.

Receive the Son the Father Gave

Father, revive your Church so we stop living as owners and learn again that every good gift comes from you. Break our pride, deepen our gratitude, and make us faithful with what you entrust to us, so the world may see your generosity in us, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church to Live as Stewards

Bring to God: the gifts you can name today, the people who helped you notice his hand, and the places where gratitude needs to replace entitlement.

Thank You for Every Gift

Pray by naming one blessing, thanking God for it, and asking him to help you remember that it ultimately comes from the Father, not from your own strength.

Ask to Remember the Source

Bring these to God: pride over what you have received, fear that makes you clutch gifts too tightly, and a desire to steward every opportunity with humility.

Open Hands Before God

Pray for people who carry responsibility — parents, teachers, leaders, caregivers, and workers — that they would remember every ability and opportunity comes from God and use them well.
