They say he had been doing what was wrong.

They say the charge was only a misunderstanding.

They say they wanted to avoid a public dispute.

They say they would not have handed him over otherwise.

They say they were simply repeating someone else's rumor.

Deal with it honestly and through the right people or process.

Respond with whatever makes the story look better.

Treat every accusation as if it settles the matter completely.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit my wrongdoing and my need for mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and confess you as my Lord and Savior. Come into my life, forgive me, and lead me in your truth. Amen.

Turn From Wrong and Follow Jesus

Lord, revive your church to love truth, hate evil, and speak with courage and fairness. Where we have been careless with accusation or slow to confront what is wrong, awaken us again. Make us a people with clean speech, clear consciences, and humble hearts, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your Church to Truth

Father, where I have excused my own wrongdoing or defended myself without honesty, bring me to repentance. Show me what is true, give me courage to own it, and make my words clean and fair, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Confess What Is Wrong

Pray by naming one situation where facts matter. Ask God to keep you from rushing to judgment, to help you speak clearly, and to show you the right next step if wrongdoing really is present.

Pray Before You Accuse

Pray for: people who have been falsely accused; those who genuinely need correction; leaders who must judge carefully; and a community that values truth over pressure.

For the Wronged and the Accused

Thank God that he sees every action clearly, hears every defense, and never loses sight of truth. Thank him that he is able to expose wrongdoing and to uphold what is right.

Thank You for Seeing Clearly
