Move toward suffering with practical compassion

Stay distant and let someone else handle it

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and that I need your mercy. I turn from my sin and trust you alone. I believe you died for me and rose again. I confess you as my Lord, and I ask you to lead my life. Thank you for saving me. Amen.

Receive the Crucified Lord

Lord, revive your Church so we do not grow cold in the face of suffering. Give us eyes to notice pain, hearts that do not turn away, and hands ready to help. Make us a people who move toward the wounded with your compassion, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

A Church That Moves Toward the Hurting

Father, you see every person who is hurt, vulnerable, or under violence. Guard them from further harm, steady their hearts, and send the help they need. Hold them close in their sorrow, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Strength for Those Who Suffer

Name one person who is vulnerable or hurting before God. Ask for a compassionate response, not a distant one. Then ask for one practical act of help or protection you should carry out today or this week.

Pray Before You Act

Pray for: people living under cruelty or abuse; those who feel forgotten in pain; helpers, advocates, and public servants to act justly and carefully.

Pray for the Vulnerable

Thank God for every person who notices pain and responds with mercy. Ask him to make your heart less numb, more attentive, and ready to serve.
