Lord, revive your Church to hear your voice personally and to turn at once when you speak. Where we have grown distracted, make us attentive; where we have grown casual, give us reverence; where we have gone quiet, teach us to answer you with faith and worship, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Bring these to God: gratitude that Jesus calls people by name; thankfulness that he is near and not distant; praise for the mercy that makes him known when we turn toward him.

Lord, when you speak, give me ears to hear and a heart ready to turn. Pull my attention away from what distracts me, and let me answer you with trust and reverence, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray by naming one place where you need Jesus to get your attention, then ask him for the grace to turn toward him and respond simply, honestly, and reverently.

Pray for: a person who feels unseen; someone who has heard Jesus but has not yet turned; and a church that answers his voice with humility, joy, and obedience.
