Ask the other disciples to repeat their report

Wait for a public sign in front of the crowd

Bring the doubt into the light and keep listening to trustworthy witness.

Wait until you can verify everything on your own before trusting.

Act confident so nobody notices the uncertainty.

Treat other believers' testimony as irrelevant.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit my sin and my need for you. I have gone my own way, and I cannot save myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Lord and Savior. Help me to believe, and lead me as I follow you. Amen.

Trusting the Lord I Cannot Yet See

Lord, revive your Church where we have grown slow to believe and slow to speak of what you have done. Make us humble listeners, bold witnesses, and patient companions for those who doubt. Let us tell the truth about Jesus with courage and love, and draw many into living faith, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church's Witness

Father, when I cannot see what I want to see, keep me from stubborn unbelief. Soften my heart, strengthen my faith, and help me receive the witness that points to your Son. Teach me to trust you even when I still have questions, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Give Me a Trusting Heart

Name one specific doubt before God, ask him for a willing heart, and ask for one next step toward trust. You might ask for clarity, for patience, or for someone wise to talk with as you listen again to the witness about Jesus.

Pray Through One Doubt

Pray for a friend, family member, or church member who is struggling to believe. Ask God to meet them with patience, to surround them with faithful testimony, and to open their heart to trust Jesus.

For Someone Who Needs Reassurance

Thank God for the disciples who kept speaking truth to Thomas, for Jesus who is not afraid of honest questions, and for the way patient testimony can lead doubting hearts toward faith.

Thank You for Patient Witnesses
