He identifies the speaker as the one who made him well

He says he was told to carry his bed and walk

He says the command came from the people questioning him

Do what he said right away and keep moving

Wait until you feel completely certain before obeying

Keep talking about the help, but postpone the action

Change the instruction to fit what feels safer

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned and cannot make myself whole. I turn from my sin and ask you to forgive me. I believe you died for me and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to make me new and lead me forward. Amen.

Lord Jesus, Make Me Whole

Lord, revive your Church where we have heard your help but delayed our obedience. Make us quick to trust your word, grateful for your healing, and ready to move when you speak, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your People to Obey

Father, thank you for every way you have made me well, strengthened me, and given me another step to take. Keep my heart grateful and my feet willing, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Making Me Well

Pray by naming one place where you have received help from God, then ask him to show you the next clear step and give you courage to take it today.

For the Next Step

Bring these to God: any fear that keeps you from moving forward, any tendency to delay obedience, and a desire to let gratitude become action.

From Help to Movement

Pray for: strength when you feel weak; peace if obedience feels risky; and grace to keep walking after God has helped you.
