Use general religious language but avoid naming Jesus

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned and I need your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as the Christ, my Lord and Savior. Open my eyes to know you and lead my life. Amen.

Receive Jesus as Lord

Lord, revive your Church where we have grown quiet and cautious. Give us courage to speak openly about Jesus, and keep us from silence when the truth about the Christ needs to be heard. Awaken our hearts to recognize him clearly and witness to him faithfully, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Us Speak Boldly

Pray by naming one place where you tend to stay quiet about Jesus. Ask God for calm boldness, clear words, and the right moment to speak plainly.

Ask for Courage to Speak

Pray for rulers, leaders, and people with influence: that they would recognize Jesus rightly, not ignore him, and respond to him with honesty rather than silence.

For Leaders to Recognize the Truth

Give thanks that Jesus speaks openly and can be known. Thank God that his identity is not hidden and that people can still ask who he is.

Thank You That Jesus Is Publicly Known

Father, free me from fear of people. Teach me to speak about Jesus clearly and without shame, and help me stand with quiet courage when the moment comes, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
