Make learning God's teaching a priority instead of assuming you already know enough

Assume that sincerity makes careful learning unnecessary

Use the verse mainly to feel superior to other people

Delay learning Scripture until life feels less busy

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I have sinned and lived without your truth. I admit that I need your mercy and cannot save myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and ask you to forgive me, lead me, and give me a heart that learns and follows your word. I confess you as my Lord and Savior. Amen.

Receive the Lord Who Brings Truth

Lord, awaken your Church from every careless and proud way of thinking. Give us humility to learn your truth, hunger for your teaching, and compassion for people who do not yet know you. Let your people love your word enough to live it and share it, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church in Your Word

Thank God for his law as a gift, for the light it gives, and for the mercy that makes his ways knowable. Bring before him any gratitude for Scripture, correction, and the patience that teaches us over time.

Thank You for Your Teaching

Begin by naming one area where you have been casual about God's word. Ask God to replace self-confidence with humility, ignorance with understanding, and delay with a first step you can take today.

Pray for a Teachable Heart

Pray for people who have little access to God's teaching, for believers who will share it gently, and for communities where Scripture is neglected or misunderstood. Ask God to open minds and protect them from error.

For Those Still Uninstructed

Father, I do not want to stay shallow in your truth. Teach me to understand your word, give me a hunger for your law, and help me obey what you show me. Make me humble, steady, and faithful as I learn, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
