Leave the matter alone and hope it fixes itself

Tell only half the story so nobody has to think hard

Bring it to people who can listen and weigh it carefully

Turn it into private gossip among friends

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have been blind to my sin and I cannot lead myself into the light. I turn from my sin and believe that you died for me and rose again. I confess you as Lord and ask you to lead my life. Bring me to your truth and keep me there. Amen.

Come Into the Light

Lord, revive your church so we do not hide people’s stories or turn away from those who need honest help. Make us ready to bring the hurting into the light with humility, truth, and care, and to welcome what you are doing in their lives, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your People Honest and Compassionate

Father, thank you for the people who help us bring difficult things into the open instead of leaving them hidden. Teach us gratitude for those who guide others wisely and faithfully, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Wise Help

Pray by naming one matter you have been carrying alone. Ask God whom you should bring it to, and ask for courage to speak plainly and humbly.

Bring It to the Right Place

Pray about: feeling defined by an old weakness; needing dignity when others only see your history; trusting God to lead you to the right people.

When the Past Still Labels Me

Father, help people who are being examined, questioned, or misunderstood to be treated with fairness and patience. Give them steady hearts and surround them with wise, truthful people, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
