| 11. Formal Translation And if a man lies with his father's wife, he has uncovered his father's nakedness. They shall surely be put to death, both of them; their blood is upon them. |
| 11. Dynamic Translation If any man sleeps with his father's wife, he has uncovered his father's shame. Both he and the woman must be put to death; they are responsible for their own blood. |
