If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, you were revealed in glory, and I need you as my Savior and Lord. I admit that I have sinned and lived apart from you. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you with my life. Forgive me, lead me, and make me yours. Amen.

Receive the Lord Jesus

Lord, revive your church so we do not get lost in the moment or in the witnesses, but see Jesus clearly. Wake up our worship, humble our hearts, and make us eager to listen to your Son. Turn our awe into obedience and our attention into faithfulness, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Us to See Jesus

Father, thank you for letting Moses and Elijah appear and for showing Jesus in a moment of glory. Thank you that your story is rich, your presence is real, and your Son is worthy of our attention. Teach me gratitude and reverence as I read your word, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Revealing Your Son

Pray by naming the distractions that pull your eyes away from Jesus, then ask God to steady you. Ask for a quiet mind, a humble heart, and the grace to listen before you speak.

Pray for Quiet Attention

Bring these to God: a tendency to be impressed by appearances; divided attention; a desire to center Jesus above every other voice; one simple next step of obedience this week.

What to Bring Before God

Lord, help Bible readers, teachers, and whole congregations to see Jesus clearly when your word is opened. Give us humble ears, teachable hearts, and the patience to stay with the One whom the scene reveals, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
