Keep what they had seen to themselves for now

Wait until the Son of Man has been raised back to life

Wait to share it until God's timing makes the next step clear

Tell as many people as possible right away

Never speak of it again, even after the right time

Share it only with people who already expect the same thing

Trust the Lord Who Rises

Lord, revive your Church to listen closely to your voice, to obey without delay, and to trust your timing when you tell us to wait. Save us from careless speech, from pride that rushes ahead, and from fear that stays silent too long. Make us faithful with what you reveal, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Us a Listening Church

Father, thank you that Jesus gives clear direction to his followers and does not leave them guessing. Thank you that the road after the mountain is still under your care, and that resurrection is the hope that shapes our waiting. Teach me gratitude for your wisdom when I am tempted to rush, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Clear Direction

Pray by naming one thing you are tempted to share immediately. Ask God to show whether this is a time for silence or a time for speech, and ask him to give you peace while you wait and courage when he opens the door.

Ask for the Right Time to Speak

Bring to God: an area where you need restraint; a desire to honor Jesus' words above your impulse; trust that waiting can be part of obedience; patience to hold a sacred thing until the right moment.

Quiet Obedience

Pray for someone who has seen God work and must decide when to speak about it. Ask the Lord to guard that person from pride, from haste, and from fear, and to give timely words that help others believe.
