He ignored the matter and waited for it to pass

Work toward repair or repayment while still treating the person with dignity

Refuse every conversation until the person proves they deserve another chance

Keep bringing up the debt so the person never forgets it

Let the relationship stay broken unless it improves your standing

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and that I cannot pay the debt I owe. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my stubbornness and trust you as my Lord and Savior. Forgive me, free me, and lead me from this day forward. Amen.

Release Me from the Debt of Sin

Lord, revive your Church where we have become harsh, quick to punish, and slow to forgive. Break stubborn hearts, teach us to seek restoration, and make us a people who reflect the mercy we have received. Awaken us to patience and compassion for those who owe us, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your People Merciful Again

Father, when I feel wronged, I often want to hold on tight and make others pay. Show me where my heart is refusing mercy. Soften me, and teach me to respond with patience, truth, and grace, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

A Softer Heart When I Am Wronged

Thank God for: mercy when we cannot pay what we owe; the chance to repair rather than hide; the freedom to answer conflict without cruelty; patience that gives room for restoration.

Thank You for Greater Mercy

Name the person or situation that has stirred your anger. Ask God for a calm spirit, a fair way to repair what is owed, and the humility to refuse humiliation or revenge. Then entrust the result to him.

Pray Before You React

Pray for: people who feel trapped by debt; families strained by unresolved wrongs; wisdom to set fair boundaries without hardening your heart; freedom from the urge to lock others out when trust has been broken.
