He stayed in Galilee and kept teaching there

He returned to Galilee after a brief trip

He left Galilee and went into Judea on the other side of the Jordan

He entered Samaria and began teaching there

Jesus entered Judea on the other side of the Jordan

Keep delaying until everything feels familiar again

Finish faithfully and move when God opens the next step

Leave halfway through so you can start the next thing early

Stay put even if God is clearly leading elsewhere

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and tried to guide my own life. I need your mercy and your leadership. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Lord. Lead me out of the old life I have held onto and into the life you give. Amen.

Follow Jesus Into New Life

Lord, Jesus finished the work set before him and moved where he was sent. Revive your Church with that same obedience. Help us finish what you have given us, release what is complete, and go where you lead without fear or delay, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your People to Move When You Lead

Name one season you believe is ending, thank God for what he has done there, then ask him where he wants you to go next and for courage to obey.

Pray About the Next Step

Father, help me finish well the things you have given me. Keep me from drifting before the work is done, and keep me from clinging to what has already ended. Make me willing to move when you lead, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray for: a person facing a move, change of ministry, job change, or family transition; clear guidance for the road ahead; grace to leave the familiar with trust and peace.

For Someone in Transition

Thank God for leading with purpose, for finishing what needs to be finished, for the places he has already used to shape you, and for the next place where he will guide you.
