Acknowledge the body's need and keep trusting God

Treat the hunger as proof that the fast failed

Ignore the body's limits and call that stronger faith

Boast that hunger makes you more holy than others

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and that my soul is empty without you. I turn from my sin and from relying on myself to save me. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to fill my life and lead me in your way. Amen.

Come to the One Who Satisfies

Lord, revive your Church with a deep hunger for your presence. Where we have grown comfortable, teach us to fast, pray, and depend on you again. Make us faithful when we are weak, compassionate when others are weary, and quick to seek you before anything else, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Our Hunger for You

Father, provide for those who are physically hungry and for those whose hearts feel empty. Teach me to notice need, share what I have, and trust you for daily bread, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Bread for the Hungry

Pray by naming one area where you feel weak, asking God for grace to stay faithful, and thanking him for sustaining you day by day. You can also ask for a humble heart when your body reminds you of its limits.

Pray Through a Season of Hunger

Thank God for: Jesus' real humanity; strength to endure when discipline is hard; the daily provision that meets your needs; and the reminder that hunger can point you back to him.

Gratitude for Sustaining Grace

Father, teach me not to boast in self-denial or fear my limits. Help me receive weakness with humility, practice discipline wisely, and keep trusting you when I feel hungry, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Depend on God in Weakness
