He rouses his strength and inner resolve against the southern king.

Hidden plans are formed against him, and he does not hold firm.

His side wins simply because it has the larger army.

Trust visible strength alone and assume it will be enough.

Ignore possible hidden danger and respond only to what is obvious.

Withdraw from every conflict because planning never matters.

Stay alert to unseen schemes and respond with steady discernment.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and trusted my own strength. I turn from my sin and from every false hope. I believe you died for me and rose again. I confess you as my Lord and ask you to make me new. Keep me firm in you. Amen.
