Pretend nothing happened and move on quickly

Use the sorrow as a reason to pull away from God

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit my sin and the sorrow it has brought into my life. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Lord and Savior. Speak your truth into my heart, soften me, and make me new. Amen.

Let Your Truth Reach My Heart

Lord, revive your Church so we do not shut down when your truth convicts us. Give us humble ears, softened hearts, and courage to receive even the hard words of Jesus. Let sorrow over sin lead us to repentance, obedience, and renewed love, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Us Under Your Word

Father, when your words leave my heart heavy, meet me with your peace. Keep me from running away from you, and let sorrow become honest prayer and quiet trust, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Peace for the Heavy Heart

Pray by naming one hard saying of Jesus that troubles you, asking God for a softer and more teachable heart, and asking for one clear next step of obedience.

Pray for a Teachable Heart

Pray for a friend, family member, or small group member whose heart feels heavy: that they would not harden, that they would hear Jesus clearly, and that sorrow would lead them toward God rather than away.

For Those Who Are Grieving Truth

Thank God for speaking truth instead of hiding it, for loving enough to tell hard things, and for using even sorrow to draw hearts closer to him.
