Jesus already knew what was about to happen to him

Jesus asked them who they were looking for

Move toward the hard thing with honesty and courage

Avoid the issue and hope it passes unnoticed

Pretend you do not know trouble is coming

Leave the burden to someone else if possible

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, you knew what was coming and still came near, and I need your mercy. I admit that I have sinned and cannot save myself. I turn from my sin and ask you to forgive me. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I open my life to you. Lead me from this day on. Amen.

Come Forward Into My Life

Lord, revive your Church with the calm courage we see in Jesus. Where we delay, make us willing to step forward; where we hide, make us honest; where we fear the cost, make us faithful. Teach your people to face hard moments with steady hearts and clear words, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your Church Brave and Clear

Pray by naming the difficult thing ahead of you, telling God what you already know and fear, asking for Jesus' courage, and then asking for one clear step you can take today.

Lord Jesus, thank you that you were not caught off guard, and that you still moved toward the hard path for our sake. Thank you for your steady love and your willing obedience. Help me trust you when I face what is ahead, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Bring these to God: a situation you have been putting off; the fear that makes you hesitate; a desire for honesty, courage, and clear judgment; readiness to follow Jesus one step at a time.

Father, I pray for anyone I know who is walking toward painful news, hard decisions, or an uncertain future. Give them peace, courage, and people who speak truth with love. Let them know they are not alone, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
