If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I need you. I admit that I have sinned and cannot save myself. I turn from my sin and trust that you died for me and rose again. I believe you are Lord, and I open my life to you. Stay with me and lead me in your way. Amen.

Come Near to Jesus

Lord, revive your Church to remain near your cross. Where we have become distant, make us faithful; where we avoid suffering, teach us compassion; where we are silent, give us courage to witness with love, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your Church Steadfast at the Cross

Father, be near everyone who is standing beside pain today. Comfort those who grieve, strengthen those who keep watch, and let them know that your Son sees them and is with them, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Name one grieving person before God, ask for the courage to stay close instead of pulling away, and choose one quiet act of care you can offer this week.

How to Pray for a Grieving Person

Give thanks for the quiet faithfulness of those who stay near when pain is heavy, for mothers and friends who keep watch, and for the witness of loving presence at the cross.

Pray for a steadfast heart that does not step back from Jesus in suffering, learns tenderness toward grief, and values presence more than empty words.
