Keep watching for him in ordinary moments, not only in dramatic ones

Assume he is absent until you get a clearer sign

Only pay attention when spiritual experiences feel obvious and intense

Stop looking once your first interpretation feels good enough

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and have not always recognized you. I need your mercy and cannot save myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Lord. Come into my life, open my eyes, and lead me in your way. Amen.

Come to Me at Daybreak

Lord, revive your Church at daybreak. Where we have grown familiar and unseeing, wake us up to your presence. Give us humble hearts that recognize you quickly, obedient feet that follow you gladly, and courage to testify that you are near, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your Church to Your Presence

Pray by naming one ordinary place in your day where you want to notice Jesus more clearly. Ask him for a heart that recognizes his presence, and then sit quietly for a moment, ready to receive him.

Pray for Open Eyes

Thank God for being present at dawn, for coming close in ordinary scenes, and for staying faithful even when his people do not immediately recognize him.

Thanks for His Nearness

Lord Jesus, teach me to keep looking for you when your presence is not obvious. Quiet my rushing thoughts, correct my assumptions, and train me to trust you even before I fully understand what you are doing, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Teach Me to Notice You

Pray for someone who feels far from Jesus, for patience to be present with people before offering answers, and for your words to help them notice Christ's nearness.
