Ask about the need directly and respond practically

Stay quiet so the moment does not feel awkward

Offer nice words but avoid the actual shortage

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit my sin and my emptiness before you. I cannot meet my deepest need on my own. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and receive you as my Lord and Savior. Come into my life, lead me, and make me new. Amen.

Come to Jesus in Your Need

Lord, revive your Church to see people the way you see them. Where we have become distracted, self-protective, or slow to notice need, wake us up again. Make us tender, attentive, and ready to ask, listen, and serve with compassion, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church to Notice Need

Father, you know every empty place in my life and in the lives of those I love. Provide daily bread, give wisdom for the next step, and teach us to trust you when we do not have enough, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Provide for What Is Lacking

Pray for people who lack food, money, or steady help; for neighbors who are embarrassed to say they need anything; and for believers to notice practical needs quickly and respond with dignity and generosity.

For the Hungry and Unseen

Pray by thanking Jesus that he notices real needs, speaks gently, and does not ignore what people lack. Then name one specific area where you want to trust his care today.

Thank Jesus for His Gentle Attention

Lord, show me one person I should ask about this week, and give me courage to follow through with practical help. Teach me to listen well, to notice real need, and to respond with kindness, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
