| 13. Formal Translation Every person who touches a corpse without purifying himself defiles the tabernacle of the LORD {Yahweh, Holy Presence}; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel because the water of impurity was not sprinkled on him. He will remain unclean, for his uncleanness is still upon him. |
| 13. Dynamic Translation Anyone who comes into contact with a dead body and does not cleanse himself makes the LORD’s {Yahweh, Sanctuary Heart} tabernacle unclean. That individual must be cut off from Israel since the water of impurity was not sprinkled on him. He remains defiled, and his defilement continues with him. |
