Jesus says Peter will never be able to follow

Wait and keep trusting Jesus until he leads you forward

Move ahead immediately so you do not feel left behind

Give up on following because the timing is frustrating

Refuse to move until every detail is explained

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and tried to lead my own life. I turn from my sin and ask you to forgive me. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to lead me when I do not know the way. Help me to follow you from this day forward. Amen.

Lord, revive your Church to trust your timing and follow Jesus faithfully. Where we rush ahead, slow us down; where we fear the unknown, strengthen us; where we have grown impatient, renew our love and obedience. Make us a people who keep following after you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray by naming one place where the path is unclear, asking Jesus whether this is a time to wait or to move, and asking for grace to obey when he shows the way.

Pray for the Next Step

Bring these to God: impatience with delay, fear of being left behind, and the desire to know every step before you obey. Ask for a heart that trusts Jesus and keeps following.

Growing in Patient Trust

Lord Jesus, when I want the full path before I obey, steady my heart. Help me trust you in the waiting, accept your timing, and follow when you open the way. Keep me from rushing ahead or giving up. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
