Name the sorrow honestly and keep trusting God can transform it

Hide the pain so no one thinks your faith is weak

Celebrate immediately because sadness should not last

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and I need your mercy. I turn from my sin and trust that you died for me and rose again. Be my Lord and Savior. Take my sorrow and make it new with your joy. Amen.

Sorrow to Joy

Lord, renew your Church where we have become impatient with grief. Teach us to weep with those who weep, to stay near the hurting, and to live in the hope that sorrow does not have the final word. Wake us up to compassionate faith, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church in Compassion

Father, for the one whose heart feels heavy today, meet them in their sorrow. Hold them steady, and in your time let grief give way to joy and hope, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Joy for the Hurting

Pray by naming the grief honestly, asking God not to let you hide from it, and asking him for the grace to wait for the joy he can bring.

Praying Through a Season of Grief

Give thanks for the promise that sorrow is not wasted and that God can turn mourning into joy. Thank him for any small sign of hope, patience, or comfort he has already given.

Thank You for Hope Beyond Sorrow

Pray for: people in your family, church, or neighborhood who are grieving; words that are gentle and present rather than rushed; and the courage to share hope without denying pain.
