12. Formal Translation
From this point Pilate sought to release Him {Iesous, Accused King}, but the Jews cried out, saying, “If you release this man, you are not a friend of Caesar {Kaisar, Roman imperial title}; everyone who makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.”
12. Dynamic Translation
After this, Pilate tried to let Him {Iesous, True King} go, but the Jewish leaders shouted, “If you let this man go, you are no friend of Caesar. Anyone who claims to be a king opposes Caesar.”
