Jesus asks him the same kind of question for the third time

Give steady, patient care that helps them grow in faith

Offer a quick word of encouragement and leave the rest to others

Use spiritual responsibility mainly to control people

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and tried to hide from your loving gaze. I need your mercy and I cannot make myself right before God. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Lord. You know all things, and you know my need; please receive me and make me yours. Amen.

Known and Received

Lord, revive your church where we have become hurried, guarded, or cold toward your people. Restore in us honest love for you, humble listening, and steady care for the sheep you entrust to us. Make us a people who do not merely hear your questions but answer them with sincerity and obedience, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Caring Church

Father, thank you that Jesus knows everything and still calls us to come honestly. Thank you that our weakness, grief, and unfinished love are not hidden from him. Teach me to rest in being fully known and still loved, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Knowing Me

Pray by naming one place where you feel hurt, resistant, or ashamed. Then ask Jesus to show you what he already knows, and answer him plainly with the love and trust you can bring today.

Pray Honestly When Jesus Questions You

Pray for pastors, parents, mentors, and small-group leaders who care for others. Ask God to give them patient tenderness, clear discernment, and endurance; pray also for believers who feel overlooked, that they would be fed, known, and kept.

For Those Who Care for the Flock

Lord, make my love for you real, humble, and willing to be examined. Free me from defensiveness, and teach me to care well for the people you place around me. Shape me into someone who answers your voice with trust, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
