She has stopped thinking about the trouble

Joy is the reason the trouble no longer holds her mind

Stay with them, hold onto hope, and trust that sorrow does not get the last word

Tell them the pain should disappear quickly if they believe enough

Avoid their pain so you can focus on future joy

Treat their sorrow as if it means nothing good can come later

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and I need your mercy. I turn from my sin and I cannot save myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord and trust you to bring new life into me. Make me yours and lead me from darkness into your light. Amen.

Receive New Life in Christ

Lord, wake up your Church from weariness and shallow hope. Teach us to stay near the hurting, to keep faith in the dark season, and to expect you to bring joy after tears. Make us a people who carry comfort, patience, and living hope to a grieving world, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your People in Hope

Father, when my own season feels heavy, hold me steady. Help me to endure the pain without losing hope, and to trust that your joy can meet me in time. Keep me from despair and remind me that sorrow is not the end of the story, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Strength in the Waiting

Name the hard season honestly, ask God for endurance rather than quick escape, and thank him for any sign of new life or hope you can already see.

Pray Through the Pain

Thank God for every time he has brought relief, healing, or new beginning after a painful season; thank him for the gift of life, the comfort of hope, and the promise that joy can return.

Thank You for Joy After Tears

Pray for: someone in labor or under intense pressure; a family waiting for safe delivery or good news; anyone who is tired of suffering; and the grace to be near them with patience, practical help, and hope.

Pray for Those in Waiting
