Exégèse Linguistique Le verset s’ouvre par veyom {וְי֨וֹם | wə-yōm} signifiant “et le jour”, établissant la coordination temporelle ; suit l’ordinal hashevi’i {הַשְּׁבִיעִִ֔֜י | ha-šə-wî-ʿî} et shabbat {שַׁבָּ֖֣ת | šabbāṯ}, formant l’ensemble nominal principal. L’apposition la-Yahweh elohka {לַיהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֑֗יךָ | la-Yahweh ʾĕ-lō-hê-kā} consacre ce jour au SEIGNEUR Dieu. La négation lo-taʿaseh {לֹֽא־תַעֲשֶׂ֣֨ה | lōʾ-tāʿăśeh} instaure la prohibition, renforcée par kol-melakhah {כָל־מְלָאכָ֡֜ה | kol-mə-lā-ḵāh} “aucune œuvre”.
