1 If any person brings a grain offering{minchah: tribute offering} to the LORD{YHWH, Worship Recipient}, the gift is to be fine flour. He is to pour oil on it and place frankincense on it.
2 He shall bring it to the sons of Aaron, the priests. The priest shall take from it his full handful of its fine flour and of its oil, together with all its frankincense, and the priest shall turn its memorial portion {azkaratah: remembrance portion} into smoke on the altar, a fire offering, a pleasing aroma to the LORD {YHWH, Ritual Honoree}.
3 What remains of the grain offering shall be for Aaron and his sons; it is most holy{kodesh: set apart for sacred use} from the offerings by fire of the LORD{YHWH, Divine Recipient}.
4 And if you bring near a grain offering{minchah: gift of tribute} baked in an oven, it shall consist of fine flour in the form of unleavened cakes{matsot: bread without yeast} mixed with oil or unleavened wafers spread with oil.
5 And if your offering is a grain offering {minchah: tribute gift} made on the griddle, it shall be fine flour mixed with oil and unleavened {matsah: without leaven}.
6 You shall break it into pieces {pittim: ritual fragments} and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering {minchah: tribute-offering}.
7 If your grain offering {minchah: tribute gift} is made in a pan, it shall be prepared from fine flour {solet: sifted wheat} with oil.
8 You shall bring to the LORD {YHWH, Offering Receiver} the grain offering {minchah: grain tribute} made from these things; and you shall bring it to the priest, and he shall present it and bring it near to the altar.
9 The priest shall remove the memorial portion {azkaratah: commemorative portion} from the grain offering and burn it in smoke on the altar—a fire offering that yields a pleasing aroma to the LORD {YHWH, Sacrificial Recipient}.
10 What remains of the grain offering shall belong to Aaron and his sons; it is the most holy {qodesh: set apart portion} part of the fire offerings to the LORD {YHWH, Source of Holiness}.
11 Every grain offering that you bring to the LORD {YHWH, Covenant Sustainer} shall not be made with leaven {chamets: fermented dough}; for you shall not burn any leaven or any honey as a fire offering to the LORD.
12 You may present them to the LORD {YHWH, Worship Recipient} as an offering of firstfruits, but they must not be offered up on the altar for a pleasing aroma {re’ach: approved fragrance}.
13 You shall season every grain offering with salt; you shall not allow the salt of the covenant with your God {Eloheikha, Covenant Upholder} to be missing from your grain offering. And with each of your offerings, you shall present salt {melakh: preserving agent}.
14 If you bring to the LORD {YHWH, Worship Receiver} a grain offering of firstfruits, you shall bring fresh ears {aviv: first growth} roasted in the fire and crushed new grain as the grain offering of your firstfruits.
15 You shall put oil{shemen: libation oil} on it and place frankincense on it; it is a grain offering{minchah: sacrificial gift}.
16 And the priest shall burn up the memorial portion {azkarah: remembrance portion}—some of its crushed grain and some of its oil—together with all its frankincense, as an offering by fire to the LORD {YHWH, Incense Receiver}.
