Revelation 5TAB

And I saw a scroll in the right hand of the One {Theos, Sovereign Enthroned} seated on the throne; it had writing on the inside and on the outside, and it was sealed with seven seals {sphragis: official security}.

And I saw a mighty angel {angelos: heavenly herald} crying out with a loud voice, “Who is worthy {axios: fit to act} to open the scroll and to loosen its seals?”

And no one in the heavens {ouranos: celestial realm}, on the earth, or beneath the earth was capable of opening the scroll {biblion: sealed document}, nor even of looking at it.

And I was weeping {eklaion: intense lament} greatly, because no one was found worthy to open the scroll {biblion: covenant record} or to look into it.

And one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep; look—the Lion {leon: royal conqueror} of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, and He can open the book {biblion: prophetic scroll} and its seven seals.”

And I saw, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures and among the elders, a Lamb standing as though slain, having seven horns and seven eyes—which are the seven Spirits of God {Theos, Sovereign Spirit Giver} sent out into all the earth {gē: physical world}.

And He {Christos, Worthy Lamb} came forward and took the scroll from the right hand of the One {Theos, Enthroned Majesty} sitting upon the throne.

And when He took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders prostrated themselves before the Lamb {Arnion, Worshiped Savior}, each holding a harp and golden bowls brimming with incense, which are the prayers of the saints {hagios: consecrated people}.

And they sing a new song, saying, “Worthy are You to take the scroll and to open its seals, because You were slain and purchased {egorasas: acquired by ransom} people for God {Theos, Recipient of Redeemed} by Your blood from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.”

And You have appointed them to be a kingdom and priests for our God {theos hemon, Priestly King}, and they reign over the earth {ge: inhabited land}.

And I saw and I heard a voice {phonen: mighty sound} of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders, and the number {arithmos: counted multitude} of them was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands.

Saying with a loud voice, “The Lamb {arnion: Sacrificial Messiah} who was slain is worthy to receive power {dynamis: divine strength}, and wealth, and wisdom, and might, and honor, and glory, and blessing.”

And I heard every creature in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, and on the sea, and all that is within them, declaring, “To Him {Theos, Universal Sovereign} who is seated upon the throne and to the Lamb {arnion, Slain Redeemer} belong the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, for ever and ever.”

And the four living creatures {zoa: angelic attendants} kept saying, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped {prosekynesan: bowed in adoration}.
