Leviticus 15TAB

And the LORD {YHWH, Divine Legislator} spoke to Moses {mosheh: drawn out} and to Aaron, saying,

Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them: “Any man, when there is a discharge {zav: bodily emission} from his flesh, that discharge makes him unclean {tamei: ritually impure}.”

Now this will be his impurity {tum’ah: ritual defilement} in his discharge: whether his discharge {zov: bodily emission} flows from his flesh or is blocked in his flesh, it will be an impurity.

Every bed on which the man with a discharge {zav: chronic flow} lies shall become unclean {yitma: ritually defiled}, and every object on which he sits shall become unclean.

And a man who touches his bed shall wash his clothes {beged: outer garment}, and bathe in water {mayim: ritual cleansing}, and he shall be unclean until the evening.

Anyone who sits on the object on which a man with a discharge {zav: ritual impurity} has sat shall wash his garments {beged: outer covering} and bathe in water, and he shall be unclean until the evening.

And whoever touches the flesh of the man with a discharge{zav: bodily flow} shall wash his clothes{beged: outer garment} and bathe in water, and he shall be unclean until the evening.

And if the man with a discharge {zav: one suffering impurity} spits on someone who is clean, then that person shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until the evening {arev: day’s end}.

And every saddle {merkav: riding saddle} upon which the man with a discharge {zav: one who flows} will ride shall become unclean.

And anyone who touches anything under him shall be unclean until evening; and anyone who carries them shall wash his garments {begadim: woven clothing} and bathe in water and shall be unclean {tame: ritual impurity} until evening.

Anyone whom the man with a discharge {zav: bodily flow} touches without washing his hands {yad: physical hand} in water shall wash his garments and bathe in water, and shall be unclean until the evening.

And any vessel of clay which the man with a discharge touches—it shall be broken. And every vessel of wood shall be rinsed {shataf: passive ritual washing} with water {mayim: ritual cleansing medium}.

And when the one with a discharge {zav: person with discharge} is purified from his discharge, he shall count for himself seven days for his purification, and he shall wash his garments and bathe his flesh in living water {mayim chayyim: flowing fresh water}, and he shall be clean.

And on the eighth day he shall take for himself two turtledoves or two young pigeons, and he shall come before the LORD {YHWH, Worship Receiver} at the entrance of the tent of meeting and give them to the priest {kohen: appointed mediator}.

The priest shall offer them, one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, and the priest shall make atonement for him before the LORD {YHWH, Ritual Purifier} because of his discharge {zov: bodily impurity}.

And if a man has an emission {shikhvat-zera: sexual discharge} of semen, he shall wash all his flesh in water, and he shall be unclean until the evening {ha-arev: day’s end}.

And every garment {beged: woven cloth} and every leather which has semen {zara: male seed} upon it shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the evening.

And a woman with whom a man lies in an emission of semen—both shall wash with water {bamayim: ritual purification}, and they shall be unclean {tameu: ineligible for sacred contact} until the evening.

And when a woman has a discharge and the discharge is blood in her flesh, she shall be unclean for seven days {shiv'at: solemn completeness}, and anyone who touches her shall be unclean until the evening {ha'arev: daily sunset closure}.

And everything upon which she lies during her menstrual impurity {nidah: ritual separation} becomes unclean {yitma: ceremonially defiled}, and everything upon which she sits also becomes unclean.

And anyone who touches her bed {mishkavah: lying place} must wash his clothes {beged: garment} and bathe in water, and he will remain unclean until evening.

And anyone who touches any vessel on which she sits must wash his clothes {begadav: personal covering} and bathe in water, and he will be unclean {tamei: ritually defiled} until the evening.

And if it is upon the bed or upon the object on which she is sitting, when someone touches it, he will be unclean {yitma: ritually impure} until the evening {haarev: sunset period}.

And if a man {ish: male individual} lies with her, and her menstrual impurity {niddah: separation period} becomes upon him, then he shall be unclean for seven days; and every bed on which he lies shall be unclean.

And if a woman {ishah: female} has a discharge of blood for many days outside the time of her separation, or if her flow continues beyond her separation, all the days of her discharge impurity shall be as the days of her separation; she shall be unclean {tme’ah: ritual impurity}.

Every bed on which she lies all the days of her discharge shall be to her like the bed {mishkav: place of lying} of her menstruation, and every vessel on which she sits shall be unclean for her, as the uncleanness {tumah: ritual impurity} of her menstruation.

Anyone who touches them will become unclean {tame: ritual impurity}; he must wash his garments {beged: personal clothing} and bathe in water, and he will remain unclean until the evening.

But if she is cleansed {taharah: ritually purified} from her discharge {zov: bodily flow}, then she shall count for herself seven days, and after that she shall be clean.

And on the eighth day she shall take for herself two turtledoves {torim: sacrificial birds} or two young pigeons and bring them to the priest at the entrance of the tent of meeting {ohel moed: central worship place}.

And the priest shall offer one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, and he shall make atonement for her before the LORD {YHWH, Purifying Lord} because of her unclean discharge {zov: ritual impurity}.

And you shall warn the sons of Israel from their uncleanness, so that they do not die in their uncleanness for defiling my {God’s Possession} tabernacle {mishkan: dwelling place} which is among them.

This is the law {torat: prescribed instruction} concerning a man with a discharge {zav: bodily emission}, and concerning the one from whom seed is emitted, becoming defiled by it.

And the woman with a flow in her menstrual impurity {nidah: state of separation}, and the person with a discharge {zav: bodily flow}—his discharge for the male and for the female—and the man who lies with a woman who is unclean.
